8 Incredible Ideas WWE Abandoned IMMEDIATELY

5. R-Truth Is Ron Killings

The termination of R-Truth was a mess from WWE's side. They tried to lowball one of their most popular entertainers, had their bluff called, fired him for refusing to bend to their will, and had to rehire him when the world was up in arms at the future Hall of Famer being treated so badly while on the best run of his long career.

When Truth returned, he attacked John Cena at Money In The Bank 2025, before having a complete change of character on the following episode of Raw. Truth stood on the commentator's desk after hijacking the show, cut off his signature dreadlocks, and declaring that he was now Ron Killings in a passionate and intimidating promo.

This was a brave move for Truth that felt as though it had real potential. Because he's so known for being a comedy character who's popular with kids and families, his eye-bulging, menacing demeanour could have been something of real value to WWE's midcard and maybe even something to add to John Cena's floundering heel run. INstead, Truth was back to his "oh, my bad" schtick like none of this ever happened, almost immediately.
