5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2025 (Results & Review)
Predictable briefcase winners, a show-stealer midcard title match, and a legit shock return.
If you entered Saturday looking to play the odds with betting on who would emerge from WWE Money in the Bank with the men’s and women’s briefcases, you came out of the night with your shirt intact.
Betting favorites Seth Rollins and Naomi captured their respective MITB briefcases, earning the right to challenge the world champion of their choosing. Neither wrestler won what will be remembered as a classic Money in the Bank ladder match, but it’s fair to say that the wrestlers in both matches put themselves through the typical amount of physical torture. The women shined a bit brighter overall, though.
Hands down, the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match stole the show, with Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch delivering a main event-worthy battle that hopefully establishes Valkyria as a serious figure in the women’s division for years to come. And then there was the tag team main event, which, despite featuring the two current world champions, a social media megastar, and the biggest star in the company today, was upstaged by a surprise run-in from someone who didn’t work for WWE as of a couple of days ago.
Overall, Money in the Bank was a decent show with the right results across the board and some good action, but other than the Women’s IC Title match and a few spots in each ladder match, this will not be remembered by year’s end.
