8 Reasons WWE Survivor Series Was The Worst Show Of 2015
There's no sugarcoating it; this was awful.
Earlier this year I wrote an article opining that Fastlane would be hard to top as the worst event of 2015, and at the end I implored WWE not to take that as a challenge. While it took them until almost the end of the year to do so, it appears that WWE accepted the challenge and produced a show even more disappointing than the one they presented back in February. Survivor Series, while traditionally considered one of "the big four" pay-per-views on WWE's calendar, was a colossal letdown this year. The 2014 edition gave us a thrilling main event with some high stakes (that were reversed a few weeks later), while 2015 crowned two new champions - neither of whom the fans wanted to see win the title - in less than five minutes. The event was hindered by the looming threat of an alleged terrorist attack but that didn't stop a capacity crowd from showing up to Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA so they could pay their hard-earned money to send the message that they're not afraid. In the end, it wasn't ISIS that the fans had to fear, but rather WWE's own inept booking. A crowd that began the night hot and ready for action was eventually drained of all enthusiasm by the time the show ended. Let's take a look at this year's Survivor Series and discuss just how WWE went about bringing us the most insipid show of the year (they've still got one month to top it).
