8 Simple Ways WWE Fans Can Help Improve The Product

7. Support The Indie Circuit And Smaller Promotions

You know the best way to get a monopoly to change their processes? (Hint: It's not by repeatedly buying their products and then complaining about said products on the internet.) To get a monopoly on their heels, they have to believe there are other, viable options for their customers to turn to.

McDonald's didn't change their menu until enough people said "I'm done with your overly-salted, cardboard-textured 'meat' patties. I want something mildly healthy. I'm going to the grocery store instead! Or Wendy's."

Then, presto: McDonald's introduced healthy menu options. Because they had to in order to stay competitive.

WWE is clearly the Golden Arches of professional wrestling, and hasn't seen any real threat to their throne since WCW went out of business. But there are still a couple of Wendy's and Burger Kings out there landing an occasional body blow. And there are plenty of grocery stores, where nothing is served fully-prepared, but it's cheaper and much fresher than McDonald's.

...Okay, enough with the contrived fast food analogy. Watch Lucha Underground. Watch ICW. Watch PROGRESS. Or hey, maybe follow that up-and-coming WCPW. I've heard nothing but great things! But seriously, if you're tired of choking down what WWE is serving up, you can help yourself to one of the other available options, and maybe help WWE advance their product in the process.
