After a one-week hiatus from your writer - hey, everyone deserves some leave now and again - it's back to it with another solid outing for AEW Collision.

Of course, just one week ago, Tony Khan publicly announced that CM Punk had been released by AEW, and thus many were intrigued to see how Collision would continue to Phil that hole. After all, this weekly Saturday offering has very much been the CM Punk Show since it launched three months ago.

Much like last week, Bryan Danielson had a key role to play in stepping up into that Second City Saint-shaped hole, and once again the American Dragon knocked it out of the park - complete with lining up a match against Zack Sabre Jr. at AEW WrestleDream in three weeks.

Away from Danielson, his Blackpool Combat Club cohort Jon Moxley defended the International Title against Action Andretti, Kris Statlander put her TBS Title on the line against Robyn Renegade, Bullet Club Gold were in action, Rey Fenix and Angelico locked up for the first time in a while, and Roderick Strong vs. Darby Allin, and Samoa Joe vs. Penta El Zero Idea headlined to decide who'll be competing for a shot at MJF's AEW World Title at Dynamite Grand Slam.

With all of that in mind, then, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
