In terms of modern day dream matches, few can top the prospect of Bryan Danielson vs. Zack Sabre Jr. - and that's a match we'll now be seeing at the turn of the month.

As announced by Danielson on last night's AEW Collision, he's "calling his shot" to face ZSJ at WrestleDream on 1 October in Seattle, Washington.

Of course, Danielson vs. Sabre is a match-up that was previously set to happen at the inaugural Forbidden Door show, before the Blackpool Combat Club man had to miss that PPV due to injury.

Instead, Claudio Castagnoli replaced Danielson at Forbidden Door 2022, picking up a win over Zack in the Swiss Cyborg's AEW debut.

For the longest time, Bryan Danielson has been revered as the greatest technical wrestler on the planet, and that is also an accolade claimed by Zack Sabre Jr. in recent years. The current NJPW Television Champion locking horns with the American Dragon is a contest many have clamoured for over the past several years, and that match has now been made official as the first bout announced for the upcoming WrestleDream.

As part of Bryan's shot-calling on Collision last night, he also teased that he's approaching the end of his in-ring career. As Danielson detailed, he promised his daughter he'd start "finishing up" his career once she turned seven, and she's currently six.
