It’s good that WWE doesn’t want Ronda Rousey to plow through every woman on the Raw roster in 30 seconds like she’s the female Goldberg.

However, it doesn’t help matters that the former UFC women’s champion is playing face-in-peril for an extended period against Ruby Riott. While Riott is a pretty good wrestler and had a good showing Monday night, she’s simply not high enough on the totem pole to be dominating Rousey for as long as she did.

If they played up Ronda’s inexperience more, maybe had wrestlers use some trick to control her, that would work – for a minute or two. Rousey was getting pummeled with a forearm, headbutt, STO and other moves for a bit too long on Raw.

But on the positive side, Ronda’s comeback was pretty nifty, so there’s that.
