3. Rollins Follow-Up Lacking

To be fair, part of the problem outlined here could be due to the short turnaround before Hell in a Cell in three weeks, but this is something that has happened before.

Seth Rollins has had some pretty significant, signature victories in 2019, defeating much bigger and more powerful men in Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. However, it seems like the follow-up immediately after his wins is lacking. You would think after defeating Strowman, there would be an effort to really build Rollins up as a larger-than-life character, a true monster-slayer.

But we went right into The Fiend tormenting Rollins. There hasn’t been a real ascension of Seth as WWE Universal Champion. He’s defeated Brock twice, which you would think would give him an aura of sorts, but it just hasn’t materialized.

We can try to dissect why, and maybe the “follow-up” isn’t a fair criticism, but the point remains: Rollins has knocked off two behemoths in the past five weeks, and he doesn’t quite feel like a larger-than-life champ. That’s a bit concerning, despite how talented he is.
