Is it possible that all the stories that John Cena was leaving for two months were wrong? Sure, he lost his United States Championship Sunday night, but there was no injury angle or any means to write Cena off television. With Alberto Del Rio as his surprise opponent, a cross-armbreaker landing Cena on the shelf would have been pretty easy to do. Cena wouldnt even have had to give up (because that would be betraying the motto on his towels) he could have either passed out from the pain or had his arm ripped out of socket, forcing the ref to call for the bell.So what happens now? Does Cena show up on Raw and get beaten down? Does he arrive and cut a promo about how hes lost his smile? Maybe things will go fine and this negative will become a positive on Raw, but it seems like the time to write Cena out was at Hell in a Cell, and they missed their opportunity.
