8 Wrestlers AEW Will Sign In 2027

Could Johnny Wrestling become #AllElite in 2027?

Tony Khan has been much more shrewd with his signings in recent years. After having too many ex-WWE talents arrive in AEW with the attitude that they were taking a step down, Khan has done a quite excellent job of only signing people who want to enhance his company's reputation for being "where the best wrestle".

In fact, 2026 has been a great year for AEW when it comes to repackaging wrestlers who were losing their way. The likes of Andrade El Idalo, The New Level, and Tommaso Ciampa have reminded the wrestling world of their talent, and that will not have gone unnoticed by superstars outside their walls who have that same ambition and drive to kickstart their careers once more.

With 2027 around the corner, there will be more of these kinds of opportunities. From veterans to those in their prime, All Elite Wrestling represents a massive platform that's stacked with quality workers across its men's, women's, and tag team divisions. The following are the eight names most likely to sign on the dotted line and become #AllElite in the year ahead.

8. Sheamus

Sheamus is a legitimately massive name in pro wrestling who has spent the last few years putting on the kind of incredible matches that AEW Sickos would love. Getting to have hard-hitting, strong style-esque bangers with the litany of talent on Tony Khan's roster undoubtedly appeals to both parties.

Stephen Farrelly would offer AEW creative many different options to play with too. He had a great tag team with Claudio Castagnoli, and would be a believable fit for The Death Riders; Adam Copeland's impending retirement leaves a veteran-shaped hole at the top of the card; and the idea of him Brogue Kicking Nick Wayne into outer space is something to get any sane person's blood pumping.

AEW is in a great position when it comes to its main event scene. That's great, but the likes of Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kevin Knight could do far worse than adding Farrelly's name to their scalps on the road to main event credibility. All this, and there already being a blockbuster feud with MJF ready to go due to their Twitter beef, should make this a great acquisition for AEW.
