8 Wrestlers Who Have VANISHED From AEW (... And WHY!)
3. Britt Baker
Britt Baker's AEW legacy becomes more and more complicated with every month she is away from the company. It's not an exaggeration to suggest that she was as important to Tony Khan as the likes of MJF and Darby Allin when AEW began, as Baker was one of the biggest breakout stars during AEW's successful opening years, with CM Punk famously describing her as one of the real Four Pillars of the company.
Since then, her relationship with AEW's fans and head office has deteriorated. Baker suffered a slew of injuries that kept her off-screen for close to a year in 2023/24, and her career has suffered ever since. The questionable decision to throw her into a match with Mercedes Mone at Wembley Stadium for All In 2024 in just her third match back from injury has had dire consequences, too, as the bout was derided by fans and critics alike.
Rumors surfaced in 2025 that WWE is interested in signing the DMD. Since then, she has been stuck in the hell that is Tony Khan saying that there is no problem with Britt and that "he hopes to see her back in AEW soon", as if somehow he doesn't have the power to do that whenever he wants. She last appeared in a victory over Penelope Ford on the 24th November, 2024 episode of Dynamite. All things considered, Baker is unlikely to appear in All Elite Wrestling again.
