8 WWE Wrestlers That COULDN'T Stay Retired

6. The Undertaker

There is much commotion being made about Brock Lesnar leaving his boots in the ring at the end of WrestleMania 42, only to return a few short weeks later. Before being too critical of 'The Beast', it's worth considering The Undertaker's actions at the end of his 'Mania 33 battle with Roman Reigns. There, the legend left his hat, trench coat and gloves in the middle of the ring after losing for only the second time at the 'Showcase Of The Immortals'.

In truth, it had been a brutal few years for Undertaker. After taking a concussion in his shocking first 'Mania defeat to Brock Lesnar at XXX, 'The Deadman's' matches took a sharp, vertical decline. His best years were clearly over, but he turned in 4 Saudi Arabian performances (including his worst match ever with Goldberg) after returning for a 2-minute squash match with John Cena at WrestleMania 34.

As it stands, 'Taker's last ride has taken place with his cinematic 'Boneyard Match' victory over AJ Styles. It was a great way to hide how the years had taken his mobility and a fitting end to his career. However, it didn't take place in front of a live audience, and WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia may prove too alluring for The Undertaker not to attempt one more "Last Ride".

Time will tell.
