3. Return To The World Title Scene

Of course, beyond the 2017 Royal Rumble, Reigns can’t stay away from the world title scene forever and nor should he have to.

This United States Championship run should really be seen as something of a respite from the baying anti-Reigns brigade, allowing Reigns to further develop his character and (fingers crossed) win over those who have continued to reject his main event push.

Once that’s been achieved, Reigns will be in a far better position to organically return to the world title scene, rather than having the company force him into contention as they’ve insisted on doing for the past couple of years.

Admittedly, that could be a little easier said than done, because once Finn Balor makes his return from injury, Raw’s world title picture is going to look fairly crowed on the babyface side of things. Still, you can bet your bottom dollar that the company will find a way to shoehorn him in somewhere, even if it means a heel turn for someone like Balor or Rollins.

However it plays out, here’s hoping Reigns eventual return to the world title scene is a little more successful than his previous run.
