9 Reasons Seth Rollins' Injury Is Best For WWE Business

2. Sets Up Rollins€™ Return

As part of the €œglass half-full€ motif of this article, Seth Rollins going away for a while could help actually raise his stature. Everyone knows how talented he is, but let€™s be truthful: Rollins was horribly booked throughout much of his reign, and his title run is going to be viewed as disappointing or underwhelming at best, which is a shame. Being taken off camera to heal from a serious injury will give fans time to miss him and actually anticipate his return. That absence also will help heal Rollins€™ character and image, as he had been on camera so much that some fans had to be getting tired of him a little. But perhaps the most interesting aspect of Rollins€™ return in 2016 is how he will come back: as a heel or a face? Rollins leaves as a heel champ who was never beaten for his title, so let€™s speculate that the Authority succeeds in recruiting a new corporate champion (be it Roman Reigns or whomever). Rollins comes back and wants to get back into the Authority€™s good graces, only to find he€™s been replaced by a newer, shinier model. That leads to him striking out on his own to battle the Authority and reclaim the title he never lost.
