9 Things SummerSlam Must Do To Eclipse NXT Brooklyn

2. Go All-out On Production

WWE recently made the decision to cut back on the pyrotechnic frills as part of a cost-cutting measure. And though some may say that’s hurt the show’s overall production value, the NXT Brooklyn show proved that there’s far more to production than just fireworks and flashes.

The night began with a live performance from Code Orange, which was interspersed with some awesomely-edited video footage of the evening’s upcoming matches. Then there was another live performance for Aleister Black’s entrance, as well as a procession of bagpipes that played Drew McIntyre to the ring. All in all, it made for a pretty great spectacle—and you now probably know where my point is headed.

WWE may not be using their pyro of old, but they still could—and should—go all-out on production at SummerSlam, not least becuse they've got entrances like that of Shinsuke Nakamura to play with.

Just please, don’t think this means we want to see another performance from Flo Rida or Cee-Lo Green...
