9 Things SummerSlam Must Do To Eclipse NXT Brooklyn

3. Push That Envelope!

One notable facet of NXT Brooklyn was the presence—albeit an inadvertent one—of blood. Aleistar Black was busted open the hard way during his match with Hideo Itami, and even though it was an accident, the site of blood in such a hard-hitting bout only added to the drama of the contest.

Plus, we saw other hardcore moments throughout the night, including that awesome intergender table spot in which Killian Dain bundled both Nikki Cross and Akam through a table, as well as Drew McIntyre’s insane flip over the top that saw him land hard on the floor on the outside.

Long story short (and not for the first time), NXT set the bar high with some memorable high spots in Brooklyn. For SummerSlam to match that, WWE can’t be afraid to push the envelope, whether that means having Brock Lesnar bust himself or someone else open, or somehow taking advantage of the no-DQ stipulation of the Fatal 4-Way main event.

Either way, that show-closing match may prove to be SummerSlam's best bet of pushing said envelope and helping it rival Saturday's NXT show.
