9 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW All Out 2023 (Results & Review)
7. Luchasaurus Vs Darby Allin
Darby Allin is a force of nature in All Elite Wrestling, with few wrestlers so willing an able to give their body to the cause - whatever that cause may be - quite like the former TNT Champion.
Here, the task-at-hand was to enhance Luchasaurus' energy as the most dangerous monster in the AEW jungle. His TNT Championship shtick with Christian Cage is hilarious, but as a match elsewhere on this card proved, there's a need for the company to flex its range a little more than it's been doing, and a dangerous dinosaur atop the midcard is a good way to do it.
Allin got his moment against Cage last week, which powered the Canadian's spiteful attempts to stop him at every cost. That kept Nick Wayne part of the conversation as Allin's own protege, and the locker room clearing to protect him from a Conchairto in the post-match was a strong visual reminder of who still matters around here in 2023. The good guys looking out for one another is a long-abandoned staple, and this was a simple reminder of just how effective it can be at getting both heels and babyfaces over.
