9 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (27 May)

8. Is She? Isn't She?

Jordynne Grace is all but confirmed to be turning heel, isn’t she? It seemed likely when she and Rachael Ellering lost the Knockouts Tag Team Championships back to Fire N Flava at Under Siege, but last week’s singles bout between the partners saw the teases properly begin.

Now, Taylor Wilde is suddenly unable to compete in the scheduled ten-knockout tag team match just when Jordynne shows up. When asked if she wanted to replace the former Knockouts Champion on Rosemary’s team, she was pissed at being a substitute, before ultimately agreeing. That she and Ellering then entered separately adds some meat to this story.

A coincidence, or an AEW-esque slow-burning story arc?

Jordynne turning heel is what’s best right now. She’s done everything she can as a babyface. There’s quite literally nothing left for her to achieve. By turning her to the dark side, setting up an inevitable story vs. Rachael, you’re opening the door for endless possibilities that IMPACT are yet to explore. So long as this isn’t rushed, it’ll be a hoot.
