Brian Myers is technically still embroiled in a rivalry of sorts with Matt Cardona, but Cardona is out. Myers shoved him into a camera last episode, meaning the former Zack Ryder is out for about twelve weeks. It shouldn’t be the case that this is the only way to prevent the pair being in each other’s business all the damn time, especially since it means Cardona will likely miss Slammiversary as a result.
It does, however, mean something better is now plausible for Myers.
‘The Most Professional Wrestler’ interrupted Gia Miller’s interview with Dr. Ross Forman, with Sam Beale soon coming into shot. Myers initially berated the youngster for not being professional enough, before promising to teach him.
This could be good. Myers needs something new desperately, and Beale has been great thus far. That’s something that’s been secretly fantastic to see from IMPACT this year; they’ve started using indie guys as quote unquote enhancement talent. Matthew Palmer, Sam Beale, and AEW Dark regular VSK have all been used so far, but Beale is the one they’ve put the most effort into making an actual roster member. Exciting times ahead for Sam.
