A wicked outing for Isaiah Scott in predictable defeat against Roderick Strong, the Undisputed Era man gave 'Swerve' everything before putting him away with the usual away sh*thot strikes and counter-proof back work.

It was the sort of wonderful showcase NXT's always been celebrated for, but it all felt so much more prestigious since the brand moved to television. A brilliant mid-show battle potentially lost to the stakes of the opener and main event, this was yet another sleeper hit for Strong in a year full of them. It speaks to the quality of The Undisputed Era that he may still not be the stable's MVP, thanks to the high drama/high banter quotient fulfilled by Kyle O'Reilly and the effortless immaculate cool exhibited by Adam Cole.

Cool he was scared into losing as one segment elegantly segued into the next...
