9 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Oct 9)
3. The New Era?
Adam Cole tacitly put Isaiah Scott over in his brief appraisal of his stablemate's latest victim before moving on to Undisputed Era business. This in itself was welcome - there's been a distinct lack of the lads doing this in-ring patter stuff as well as they can since the big USA move. This particular one made up for it.
Getting over Velveteen Dream and Tommaso Ciampa not just as impending threats to the separate singles titles but also the very heart of Undisputed Era's recent dominance, the decision to place these two moments back-to-back was inspired.
Rattled by the hilarious photoshop Dream shamed Strong with in promoting their North American Title rematch in two weeks, the group weren't at all ready when "Daddy" came "home". The quartet looked sh*t scared of Ciampa and his simple mission statement. His repossession of "Goldie" felt believably inevitable - much like the murder he's going to commit against Angel Garza next week.
