3. Ambrose Gets Serious
See, now this is the Dean Ambrose fans really can rally behind. The goofy, jokey Dean is great and all, but a blunt, direct, sarcastic Lunatic Fringe is exactly what WWE needs right now. Ambrose didnt even bother hosting his WWE talk show Monday night, opting instead to call out Payback opponent Chris Jericho and run him down.
To his credit, Y2J didnt disappoint on his end. Jericho alternated yelling at Ambrose and berating the fans, always a sure way to garner some heel heat. The feud has moved well past the point of being solely about the talk shows though Jericho clearly still harbors strong feelings about that and now is focused on the growing hatred the two have for each other.
By the way, Jericho urging Ambrose to get down on his knees and kiss his $1,500 boots was pure gold, especially when he noted that each boot cost $750. It was such a snobby thing to say, which makes him a great foil for Ambrose as an anti-hero.
