When will it end? Well, fairly soon after Roadblock one assumes. The New Day are on course to break Demolition’s record for longest tag team title reign in WWE history, and the sooner the belts are off the trio the better for all involved. The closer Kingston, Woods, and E. have got to the record, the more throwaway they have become.

But what does one do after breaking a record? That is going to be very interesting to see. Do the trio stick together and try to reclaim the gold? Stick together and move onto other goals? Or maybe split up and go in different creative directions? After starting off so poorly The New Day have been a huge success in WWE, so maybe the time is right to end the fun and try something new?

How you follow a record-breaking year is a moment of huge importance in any career. Big E. is almost certainly going to become a major player for WWE down the line, and Kofi Kingston could always go back to being Kofi Kingston. The group has arguably been the saving of Xavier Woods’ WWE career. 2017 is going to be fascinating for the champs, and they might yet need all of that power of positivity.
