AEW's MJF has claimed that he longer sees comparisons between himself and WWE star The Miz being made online.

Why?

The Pinnacle leader attributes it to him proving himself since shooting to national stardom in AEW.

MJF spoke on the matter during last week's interview with combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, running through the list of wrestlers he has been compared to throughout his run while confessing to searching for them online (h/t Fightful):-

“So it’s really funny. Before Miz, it was EC3. Before EC3, I think it was Jericho because of the scarf. So it went Jericho [to] EC3 [to] Miz.. at points Baron Corbin, which I thought was funny because he’s over six feet tall and he’s a mastodon of a man. I think it’s funny now because that doesn’t happen anymore. I look for it, I’m a nut. I used to type in ‘MJF Miz’ but I don’t see it anymore. I think it’s because I’ve proven myself at such a level.”

This comes two months after Miz and MJF crossed promotional lines to share pleasantries, with MJF showering the former WWE Champion in effusive praise:-

Like MJF's recent attempts at organising a steak dinner with Happy Corbin, the above could be interpreted as Maxwell working to add an extra detail to the ongoing saga of his January 2024 free agency. In the same Helwani interview, MJF claimed to "love everything WWE is doing," including NXT 2.0 and its myriad makeout competitions.

But at least the Miz comparisons are dying down.
