AEW's Tay Conti Responds In Epic Way To WWE's Recent Shots
One of AEW's gorily self-mutilated stars hits back at WWE.
Following WWE using a recent Toronto Star article to slam AEW for "gory self-mutilation", one of AEW's gorily self-mutilated stars has hit back at Vince McMahon's sports entertainment behemoth in a simple, impactful and extremely blunt way.
Taking to Twitter, Tay Conti was eager to show WWE exactly what she thought of this criticism.

In case you missed it, said Toronto Star report compared WWE and AEW programming in Canada.
Whilst SmackDown averaged 49% more viewers that Dynamite in Canada throughout 2021, the comparison numbers for the 25-54 demographic for both shows during that same period was a lot closer - with SmackDown averaging 71,000 viewers up against Dynamite's 62,000.
As part of this Star story, WWE provided quotes lambasting the "the gory self-mutilation that bloodied several women in the December 31 event on TNT" as it stated how such brutality is not "appealing" to sponsors, venues, audiences, etc in 2022. Said December 31 event was the New Year's Smash AEW Rampage where Tay Conti and Anna Jay took on The Bunny and Penelope Ford in a bloody war.
Tony Khan did speak to the Toronto Star about what his early plans were for AEW as part of this piece, but he didn't address the WWE comments. On that front, Tay Conti clearly had Khan and AEW perfectly covered when it comes to responding to WWE's latest questionable 'shot' at All Elite Wrestling.
