WWE's Andrade is "waiting" for... something.
After just one win in the past six months, WWE's Andrade is "waiting" for... well, something.

It's been somewhat of a frustrating run for Andrade since making his WWE return at the 2024 Royal Rumble, as highlighted perfectly by the hugely talented star's past six months.
In 2025, the one-time La Sombra has wrestled just four televised matches, one of which was a three-minute appearance in the men's Royal Rumble. And when it comes to wins, Andrade's most recent televised win came against the Miz on a January episode of SmackDown. For the 35-year-old's previous win, you have to go back to September and to the Best of Seven series he had with Carmelo Hayes.
Since his WWE return, that Best of Seven series has been the most notable thing Andrade has been involved in, with the talent currently facing the very real prospect of missing out on WrestleMania 41. That in itself dovetailed into the United States Title picture, but that ultimately saw Andrade come up short in his attempts to dethrone LA Knight for that prize. Away from that, he had a 161-day reign as the WWE Speed Champion, for whatever that's worth, but Andrade dropped that title to Dragon Lee back in November.
What's Next For Andrade?
As mentioned, as it stands, there doesn't seem to be a role for Andrade at WrestleMania 41 next month. Well, at least not a role of any note, for it's always possible that the talent is put into some sort of multi-man bout.
With Zelina Vega moving to SmackDown earlier this year as part of WWE's transfer window, many fans had speculated that Vega could once again be paired up with Andrade, rekindling the partnership that worked so well for the two during their time in NXT. However, nearly two months after Zelina switched brands, there's yet to be even any sort of mild tease of her and Andrade reuniting.
In terms of his onscreen presence, Andrade last wrestled on the 28 February edition of SmackDown, losing to Jacob Fatu on that night. More recently, he made an appearance in a backstage segment earlier this month, seemingly sowing some seeds of dissension in Los Garza, with Andrade telling Berto that he deserved better than what he was getting under the stewardship of Santos Escobar.
Of course, prior to returning to WWE, Andrade spent two-and-a-half years with AEW. Despite debuting with much fanfare, including a feud with Cody Rhodes, things quickly fizzled out for Andrade El Idolo, with the star regularly putting on great matches when afforded the opportunity but ultimately becoming very much a bit-part player who would appear for a month or so then disappear for another couple of months.
