WWE continued to be Cena-free going into Survivor Series as Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels contested a rematch for the WWE Championship and Batista and The Undertaker met inside Hell in a Cell. As you can probably tell from those two main events, Cena being gone didn't affect the quality of the show whatsoever. SmackDown was able to steal the spotlight in the main event while the rest of the card was equally entertaining. The Great Khali vs. Hornswoggle and the 10-Diva tag team match weren't anything special, but it was a fun night where WWE made the most of the talent that were available. Although pay-per-view buys were slightly down from the 2006 installment, it was arguably among the best events WWE had produced all year.
