Tessa Blanchard is the last of the first round losers to feature on this list, and probably took part in the best opening bout of all - a wonderful match with the incredibly popular Kairi Sane.

Thankfully, the daughter of a legend was not phased by the crowd's preference of her opponent, and helped put together a fantastic bout. She was the perfect opponent to introduce Sane to any unfamiliar eyes - and did her own stock a lot of favours in the process.
