IMPACT Wrestling has made attempts to bring notable free agents Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt in recently, reports Fightful Select.

The writeup notes that several people within the company, including wrestlers, were of the belief that Strowman was coming to the company. This was during the build-up to last week's Bound For Glory 2021 pay-per-view, though Braun wasn't at the show and a deal hadn't been struck by the two parties at the time of writing.

Strowman had been spotted holding talks with IMPACT executive vice president Scott D'Amore on 16 October. It was noted at the time that their meeting lasted a "long time," with IMPACT looking to score several surprises for Bound For Glory the following week.

IMPACT had also reached out to Wyatt about the possibility of coming in, though this would have had to have waited until after Bound For Glory, as his 90-day WWE non-compete clause doesn't expire until late October. Fightful note that this particular deal wasn't close to happening.

Strowman and Wyatt were both released by WWE earlier this year, with Braun cut on 2 June and Wyatt let go on 31 July.

As covered earlier, IMPACT un-booked a planned former NXT title-holder's Bound For Glory appearance last week.
