Backstage Update On Britt Baker's AEW Future After Rebel Heart Dynamite (AEW News)
Britt Baker is officially back on the road with AEW.
With Britt Baker having made her shocking AEW return at All In last month, there's now an update on the Roll Model's current status moving forward.
After nearly two months off TV, Britt returned at All In to help Persephone win the TBS Title from Maya World, and she followed that up by appearing on the Rebel Heart special of Dynamite.
Asked about plans for future plans for Baker during the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp noted that D.M.D. is "back on the road" with AEW and expected to appear at "several upcoming television dates."
Interestingly, AEW brings Dynamite to the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 30th, with Pittsburgh famously being Britt Baker's hometown, so it would seem likely that she'll be a part of that show. Dynamite took place from that same venue back on September 24th last year, and many viewed Britt's absence from that card as a further signal that her time being #AllElite was coming to a close. However, the former AEW World Champion appears to be fully back in the fold now after that surprise return at All In.
As for that absence, Britt was pulled from TV after a November 2024 match against Penelope Ford. The match itself wasn't the problem, but more Baker's repeated post-match comments of "nobody cares" when she was confronted by Serena Deeb after that bout. With that, all creative plans were scrapped for the Good Doctor, and she remained completely absent from all AEW programming until last month's All In.
