Every Current AEW Champion - Full List & Updates
An up to the minute guide on every single champion who currently holds gold in AEW and ROH.
Tony Khan oversees 17 active championships across core AEW programming and the offshoot ROH brand.
In some respects, the once proud standalone Ring Of Honor has become akin to NXT over on the WWE side. It's a sideshow, and gives some overlooked wrestlers somewhere to wrestle without sitting in catering for Dynamite or Collision. However, unlike NXT, ROH isn't really a developmental wing focused on building the next wave of All Elite stars. A quick look at the current champs reveals that.
This up to the minute guide will keep you in the loop if you're a little confused about who's holding some of the lesser titles across Khan's company. There are multiple variations of the Trios belts, for example, and the current "main roster" houses several championships that are only as strong as the wrestlers holding them at any given time. Case in point: The TBS, TNT and Unified straps.
Of course, like over on the list of every current WWE champion, holding any wrestling title in a major promotion is nothing to be ashamed of. It's a sure sign that AEW management is paying attention to someone's body of work. They're either mid-top line push (say hello to the World Champs) or on the cusp of doing something special with the right booking/patience on the undercard.
Holding gold at least guarantees some TV time too, which is never a bad thing either.
These are the current AEW champs in title hot seats across the full range of programming: Dynamite, Collision and ROH on HonorClub. Here's everything you need to know about who's holding what, when they won it and more!
AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe
Since: 22 November, 2025.
Defeated: Hangman Page.
Show: Full Gear.
The blood-soaked scowl of Samoa Joe will be the defining image from AEW's Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view.
Joe had just beaten Hangman Page to begin his second reign as AEW World Champion, and few could believe it had happened. Before being pushed back to the top, the Samoan had been cast as more of a midcard mentor to his pals in The Opps, so this caught a lot of people off guard. That's not to say anyone surprised thinks Joe isn't worthy of the top gold though.
He has a credibility to him few can match, and he has done stretching right back to the now-retro ROH days. So, next question to Tony Khan: Will this be a short sprint or just the beginning of something lengthy?
AEW Women's World Champion: Kris Statlander
Since: 20 September, 2025.
Defeated: Toni Storm, Thekla, Jamie Hayter.
Show: All Out.
'Timeless' Toni Storm remains a crown jewel of AEW's product, but she's no longer the Women's Champion.
Tony Khan decided to switch the belt at All Out by having stalwart Kris Statlander beat Storm, Thekla and Jamie Hayter in a Fatal-4-Way to become the new champion. Statlander's reaction post-title win said it all: She was in ecstasy whilst celebrating that victory.
Kris went on to win her first title defence vs. Mira Shirakawa on the 24 September Dynamite too, and beat Mercedes Mone to retain at Full Gear in November.
AEW World Tag-Team Champions: FTR
Since: 22 November, 2025.
Defeated: Brodido (Brody King and Bandido).
Show: Full Gear.
London, England got a lovely moment during the first in-arena AEW pay-per-view on UK soil when Bandido became the brand new tag champs in late-August at Forbidden Door. Brody King and Bandido (who is also ROH World Champ, for the record) beat Hurt Syndicate duo Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin as well as FTR to reign supreme.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood would have the last laugh by fighting back to reclaim the belts in a 20-minute scrap at Full Gear. For reference, this is the third time the ex-WWE'ers have held AEW gold.
AEW TNT Champion: Mark Briscoe
Since: 22 November, 2025.
Defeated: Kyle Fletcher.
Show: Full Gear.
Emotions were running high when Mark Briscoe, fresh off beating Kyle Fletcher to become TNT Champion, looked skyward to toast victory by paying tribute to his brother Jay at Full Gear. That must've been a poignant moment for the new champ - he'd obviously wish his sibling was there by his side, but it was clear he was saying: 'This one's for you, bro'.
The storyline going in stated that Briscoe would have to join The Don Callis Family if he came up short vs. Fletcher. Full Gear's result offers the neat one-two punch of giving Mark his moment and perhaps freeing Kyle up for even bigger things to come.
AEW TBS Champion: Mercedes Mone
Since: 26 May, 2024.
Defeated: Willow Nightingale.
Show: Double Or Nothing.
AEW touted Mercedes Mone as a game changer once she joined the promotion full-time in early-2024. Along with Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada, Mone was supposed to be one of the leading lights who'd push All Elite to that next level. It hasn't really happened, but she's had a stronghold on the TBS Title nonetheless.
Mone is creeping towards a full calendar year as TBS Champ, and it's pretty difficult to name someone else in the division who'd realistically supplant her. That's one of AEW's biggest challenges for the remainder of 2025: Find a wrestler who'd receive a massive, sustainable boost by toppling Mercedes.
AEW Unified Champion: Kazuchika Okada
Since: 12 July, 2024.
Defeated: Kenny Omega.
Show: All In Texas.
It'd be an outright lie to suggest that this is the same Kazuchika Okada who earned near God-like status in New Japan Pro Wrestling for years. The AEW version is a bit lower on the ladder in terms of aura and overall presentation, but Okada still has a part to play now he's Unified Champ.
Kazuchika beat Kenny Omega to unify both his Continental and Omega's International belts in mid-July. Post-win, AEW handed Okada a brand new title that signifies unification. Let's see what the former workhorse can do with it.
AEW National Title: Ricochet
Since: 22 November, 2025.
Defeated: Kevin Knight.
Show: Full Gear.
The National Title is AEW's latest singles prize, and now it belongs to Ricochet.
He won a 12-man Casino Gauntlet bout at Full Gear to take home the strap. The full list of entrants was as follows: Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta, Kevin Knight, Roderick Strong, Mark Davis and 'Speedball' Mike Bailey. Rico beat Knight to secure his win.
It remains to be seen if this clear nod to the NWA is something with legs or just another trinket few will pay attention to within a matter of months. That's always the concern with any fresh title in AEW, WWE or elsewhere, to be fair, but the National one could get lost in the shuffle if Tony Khan isn't careful.
AEW Women's Tag-Team Titles: Vacant
Since: 24 September, 2025.
Defeated: N/A.
Show: N/A.
A tournament is already well underway to establish the first ever AEW Women's Tag-Team Champions. The company had Renee Paquette reveal the belts on the 24 September edition of Dynamite, and it shouldn't be too long until the inaugural champs get their hands on the things.
Tony Khan must learn from some of the trials and tribulations WWE have experienced with their own version of the titles, but these could come in handy for women in the division who have nothing else going on.
AEW World Trios Champions: The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata)
Since: 16 April, 2025.
Defeated: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC and Wheeler Yuta).
Show: Dynamite..
Samoa Joe leads The Opps into battle. Alongside Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata, the veteran is now one third of the reigning AEW World Trios Champs, and that has to feel good for somebody Tony Khan knows he can rely on to always deliver the goods. Joe is a consummate professional - he always has been.
The Opps dethroned Death Riders threesome Castanoli, PAC and Yuta on a special Spring BreakThru edition of flagship show Dynamite in mid-April. That might've got lost in the shuffle for a fair few fans though, because both sets of Trios Titles across AEW and ROH are hardly viewed as the most important.
ROH World Champion: Bandido
Since: 6 April, 2025.
Defeated: Chris Jericho.
Show: Dynasty.
Dynasty 2025 saw a big change on the ROH front.
Popular masked star Bandido defeated Chris Jericho in a 'Title vs. Mask' bout to claim the Ring Of Honor World strap. This is actually Bandido's second reign with the belt - he also enjoyed a 152 day run back in 2021. Jericho's own second stint in the title hot seat began when he beat Mark Briscoe on the 23 October 2024 episode of Dynamite.
Few will be too gutted to see Jericho drop the title at this stage in his career. Rumours persist that he'll eventually leave AEW and bolt back to WWE for one last run, but that remains to be seen.
ROH Women's World Champion: Athena
Since: 10 December, 2022.
Defeated: Mercedes Martinez.
Show: Final Battle.
Athena's is quietly building one of the lengthiest Women's Title reigns in modern pro wrestling history. She's been ROH Women's Champ since late-2022. This either proves that AEW management don't pay much attention to the Ring Of Honor brand, or shows just how accomplished a worker the former Ember Moon (in WWE's NXT) is.
Let's roll with the latter.
Athena probably deserves a bit more screen time on bigger AEW shows than she gets, but she seems content enough to busy herself with HonorClub shenanigans and bolster her title reign further. Surely someone else has to get a shot with that belt at some point?!
ROH World Tag-Team Champions: Sammy Guevara & Rush
Since: 29 August, 2025.
Defeated: The Outrunners.
Show: ROH Death Before Dishonor.
Dustin Rhodes has had go under the knife for double knee surgery, which ruled him out of working with Sammy Guevara as one half of the reigning ROH Tag-Team Champs. Seeking an alternative, Tony Khan went with Sammy joining La Facción Ingobernable to become new champions alongside Rush.
They beat The Outrunners to bag the belts, and now Guevara is back to sticking his tongue out and acting like a little scumbag again. As anyone who has been watching AEW's product since day one could tell you, he's pretty nifty at that!
ROH World Television Champion: Nick Wayne
Since: 17 April, 2025.
Defeated: Komander.
Show: Collision.
Komander's time with the ROH TV Title came and went across a largely inconsequential 118 days. The masked man beat multiple foes to win the thing back at Final Battle in December 2024, but then Nick Wayne came calling in mid-April at the special Spring BreakThru edition of Collision.
Tony Khan put some singles gold on young master Wayne.
It remains to be seen if this will actually do anything for Nick's fledgling AEW career, or if it's just wrestling's latest forgettable title win. Fingers crossed he gets some shine out of it and uses the ROH spot as a springboard to bigger things.
ROH Women's World Television Champion: Mercedes Mone
Since: 19 November, 2025.
Defeated: Red Velvet.
Show: Collision.
Red Velvet is another female star who struggles to squeeze her way onto the larger AEW events nowadays. Like top ROH Women's Champion Athena though, Velvet experienced a quietly purring lengthy title reign in Honor. She'd held the ROH Women's World Television Champ since the summer of 2024.
Ultimately, Velvet proved to be mere collateral for belt collector Mercedes Mone.
ROH Pure Champion: Lee Moriarty
Since: 26 July, 2024.
Defeated: Wheeler Yuta.
Show: Death Before Dishonor.
The ROH Pure Championship tends to stay put on wrestlers for a while. That was the case when it debuted in 2004, and that has certainly been the case since the belt came back (post-2006 unification with the ROH World Title) in 2020. Former champs like Jonathan Gresham, Josh Woods, Katsuyori Shibata and Wheeler Yuta all held the belt for well over 200 days.
Current title holder Lee Moriarty has continued that trend. He beat Yuta back in July 2024, and has locked down a solid niche for himself on the brand heading through the latter months of the year into 2026.
ROH World Six-Man Champions: Shayne Taylor Promotions
Since: 29 August, 2025.
Defeated: Sons Of Texas (Sammy Guevara, Ross Von Erich, Marshall Von Erich).
Show: ROH Death Before Dishonor.
Dustin Rhodes going in for double knee replacement surgery meant he had to vacate his ROH Six-Man strap too. Thus, a match was set up for Death Before Dishonor that saw Sammy Guevara (pre-jump to La Facción Ingobernable) team up with both Ross and Marshall Von Erich in a losing effort to Shane Taylor Promotions.
Taylor, Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean are the brand new champs. Being honest, not many people pay close attention to the peripheral Ring Of Honor belts these days, but any STP fans will be chuffed to see these boys riding high. Previously, Taylor held the gold with Moses and Kaun in 2021, so things have almost come full circle for him under AEW's watch.
