The five-year anniversary of All Elite Wrestling was celebrated in grand fashion with AEW Double or Nothing 2024 this past weekend, which saw many moments that will stand the test of time.

New champions were crowned. Title-holders reestablished their dominance with impressive victories. Friendships fell. New alliances were forged. A franchise player renewed his dedication to the company. All of this went down with a ton of blood, sweat and tears as a handful of wrestlers stood tall in victory, while others were crushed by defeat.

Some of those wins and losses mean more than the others, and will likely have a much bigger impact—positively or negatively—going forward. So let's break down the biggest winners and losers of this event!

10. Winner: Will Ospreay

Winning any match is a positive. Capturing a championship in the process makes it significantly more valuable. But going out there and putting on a great performance on top of that? That's the trifecta that Will Ospreay accomplished in the opening match of the main card.

Ospreay took Roderick Strong—widely considered one of the best in-ring talents of this generation—and put him firmly in the rung below him on the ladder of top wrestlers in the company. Even with interference from The Undisputed Kingdom, Strong wasn't able to get the job done.

The Aerial Assassin has been on a run like no other, fitting in AEW like a glove and making the argument that he's fast on his way to becoming the benchmark of what AEW stands for: strong wrestling skills, fast-paced action, tenacity, and an unparalleled passion for performances between the ropes. All of that was signified here and winning the International Championship isn't just a matter of obtaining a midcard title, but a sign that Ospreay may lead AEW into the next era.

With this belt, we can assume he will be prominently featured for quite a while, defending the championship on a regular basis and being entrusted to tear down the house at future pay-per-views as a marquee name no matter who his opponents are.
