Brie Bella says some at WWE are "uncomfortable" with the fact her husband Bryan Danielson works for rival company AEW. Speaking via her podcast (typically co-hosted with sister Nikki), Brie told listeners that a few folks view Danielson's contract with Tony Khan's group as a "roadblock" when thinking about bringing her back onto WWE TV.

This is something Bella has gone back and forth on in recent times, but now she's at peace with it. There were moments where that attitude would "bum [Brie] out", but now "it doesn't make [her] angry and it doesn't make [her] bitter". It just is what it is - Bella can't change what other people think, even if she does "wish their feelings were different".

Brie hasn't wrestled since appearing in the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match. There, she lasted close to 20 minutes before being eliminated by eventual winner Ronda Rousey. Before that, Bella's last match for the company was actually teaming with Rousey and Nikki vs. The Riott Squad on the 8 October 2018 episode of Raw.

It's unclear whether or not she'll turn up on WWE screens again soon, but it appears some within the promotion would need to get over the fact that Danielson works elsewhere before that's able to happen.

Brie's Sister Nikki Has Returned To WWE Screens

Nikki Bella has, however, returned to WWE TV.

She entered the 2025 women's Royal Rumble match, then launched a larger scale comeback on the 9 June edition of Raw. WWE reportedly planned to put Nikki in a match at Evolution vs. Liv Morgan, but those thoughts had to be scrapped once Liv suffered an injury. Pivoting, WWE put Nikki in a 20-strong Battle Royal on the 13 July card.

Nikki has since worked two matches on the flagship - one vs. Chelsea Green on the 14 July episode, and an 8-woman tag on this past Monday's 28 July Raw. It's likely that both Bella Twins would love to be working together on WWE programming once more, but again; that'll only happen if people can get over Bryan's All Elite status.
