After suffering a freak injury on Raw this past Monday, it looks like WWE's Liv Morgan is now unfortunately set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

This week's Raw saw Morgan suffer a shoulder injury mere seconds into her match with Kairi Sane, with Liv being attended to at ringside by WWE's medical team, the match quickly called off, and Michael Cole later announcing that Morgan had suffered a dislocated shoulder.

In the immediate aftermath of that injury, the severity of the dislocation wasn't known, with suggestions that Liv could miss up to 16 weeks of in-ring action depending on just how bad the situation was. Well, there are now reports that the New Jersey native could miss even more time than that.

Per Fightful Select, Liv Morgan will be undergoing surgery for this dislocated shoulder, with her expected to miss "a number of months". Furthermore, CodyWhoadesPWN at BodySlam.net says that Liv is set to be out of action for up to six months. If that is indeed the case, that would have Morgan returning towards the end of the year or possibly around the Royal Rumble next January.

This Fightful report notes that, obviously, Liv's absence has caused a "significant creative reshuffling" due to the Judgment Day member being involved in several different storylines right now. On that front, Morgan was set to do something with Nikki Bella at Evolution next month, quite likely her and Raquel Rodriguez defending the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles against the Bella Twins. Then there's the simmering issues in the Judgment Day, particularly with Liv's recent interactions with Roxanne Perez. Also, it now remains to be seen what WWE opts to do with those Tag Team Titles, with the two most logical ideas seemingly being to either strip Morgan and Rodriguez or potentially have Perez step up and take Liv's spot alongside Raquel.

Liv Morgan's Raw opponent, Kairi Sane, has also taken to social media to show support for Liv, wishing for a full recovery for her and noting how "it breaks my heart" that somebody got injured in a match against Sane.

For those wondering, there is said to be no heat whatsoever on Kairi for this injury, with it instead just viewed as a bizarre, freak accident that was nobody's fault.

From all of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling, we send our best wishes to Liv Morgan for her surgery and subsequent road to recovery.
