Chelsea Green's WWE comeback is being discussed within the company as if it is a "done deal."

This was the exact wording used by Dave Meltzer while reporting on the matter on Wrestling Observer Radio. While there is no word yet on whether or not Green has put pen to paper, internally, WWE sources are talking about the return as something that is happening.

Green heading back to WWE under its new regime has been speculated for weeks. It was sparked in October, when WrestleVotes noted the company's interest. Chelsea has since wrapped her commitments in IMPACT Wrestling and commented, tellingly, that she has "unfinished business" in WWE.

Chelsea's original WWE run commenced in October 2018, when she started at the Performance Center two months after a successful tryout. Injuries held her up initially, with Green breaking her wrist during her first televised bout in March 2019, though she was back in the ring by that June. By 2020 she had found a regular NXT role alongside manager Robert Stone.

Later that year she seemed bound for a main roster call-up, though a second broken wrist suffered in her SmackDown debut sidelined her for several months. WWE then released Green in April 2021, doing so before she could return.
