WWE Has "Significant Interest" In Bringing Back THIS Released Star

Could yet another WWE return be on the horizon?

With Paul Levesque currently in the midst of bringing multiple released talents back into the WWE fold, the Game reportedly has "significant interest" in re-signing Chelsea Green.

As per the extremely reliable @WrestleVotes, WWE is keen to have Green return to the company, with it believed that any contract offer put to the Canadian would be for the WWE main roster rather than to spend any time in NXT.

One of the numerous WWE releases seen during the pandemic, Chelsea Green exited the market leader as part of the April 2021 round of "budget cuts". The former Laurel Van Ness had been with the company since 2018 and unfortunately had several main roster call-ups scuppered by creative changes and injury issues.

Since departing WWE, the one-time Knockouts Champion has spent the majority of her time back in IMPACT Wrestling, where she was one half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions alongside long-time friend Deonna Purrazzo up until last Friday's Bound for Glory.

In addition to working for IMPACT, Chelsea has spent her post-WWE time performing for the likes of the NWA, GCW and was involved with Ring of Honor before that promotion was purchased by Tony Khan. At present, the belief is that the 31-year-old is a free agent, and thus any return to WWE could feasibly happen immediately once a deal is agreed upon.

Only yesterday, there were reports that WWE has interest in bringing Mia Yim - whose IMPACT contract recently expired - and ROH favourite Matt Taven into the organisation, and this obviously all comes on the back of the recent returns of Bray Wyatt and the Good Brothers, who are just the latest in an ever-expanding list of moves Triple H has made to strengthen the WWE roster.
