With Chris Jericho recently teasing a return to WWE, one Reddit user has put together a theory of why Le Champion could be heading back to Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut alongside Cody Rhodes.

From Reddit user R0BR0SE, this theory notes how the stars are aligning for Jericho's WWE return due to his recent Twitter tease, due to what appears to be the break up of the Inner Circle, and due to the sheer money WWE is likely to offer the first ever Undisputed Champion for such a return.

In case you missed the aforementioned Twitter tease, Jericho recently told Kevin Owens how he hasn't forgotten KO turning on him during the famed Festival of Friendship celebration which had its five-year anniversary over the weekend. The Winnipeg native also informed Owens that "you never know when you'll see me again".

Given how Owens signed a new multi-year WWE deal at the end of 2021, any such on-screen meeting between him and Jericho would have to take place under the WWE banner.

To circle back to Reddit, the Jericho return theory points out how the Canadian would be a great fit in terms of big names to add to Roman Reigns' ever-expanding list of main event talent who have fallen to the Head of the Table. With the inaugural AEW World Champion one of the last top stars of yesteryear who can still 'go', he'd make for a fine opponent for Reigns at some point.

With reports that WWE is prepared to offer huge money to bring Cody Rhodes back into the fold, R0BR0SE suggests that McMahon's promotion would likely be prepared to offer a similar hefty wedge to have Jericho return to WWE - particularly with how WWE is said to be keen to publicly show that they have the pull to bring in main event AEW talent.

In terms of "main event AEW talent", few names are as noteworthy as the inaugural AEW World Champion who headlined some of All Elite Wrestling's biggest events and who was such a pivotal figure in establishing the promotion during its early days.

Of course, this is all merely Reddit speculation right now, but it certainly makes for a fun topic of conversation in the aftermath of Cody Rhodes potentially returning to New York.
