Danhausen Is The King Of New York (WWE News)
Danhausen celebrates the New York Knicks' NBA Championship win.
With the New York Knicks winning the NBA Championship last night, WWE's Danhausen now finds himself as the King of New York.
For those not keeping up with the NBA, the Knicks staged a comeback to beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90, cementing a 4-1 series win and a first NBA Championship for 53 years. And all of this just so happens to have come after Danhausen uncursed the Knicks back in April. Since then, the Knicks have gone on a tear, culminating in wild scenes last night.
Danhausen was quick to congratulate the Knicks on their big win, noting that, amongst other things, he wants a mural of himself on Madison Square Garden, a giant blimp between Snoopy and Garfield, he's asked Ben Stiller for a role in Severance Season 3, and he also wants a free house on Sesame Street. Likewise, WWE was quick to launch Danhausen x New York Knicks merchandise.

Prior to last night's game, Fightful Select reported that WWE had big plans for Danhausen should the Knicks win the NBA Championship, particularly when it comes to the July 18th edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, which just so happens to take place from Madison Square Garden. One WWE source told the outlet that they expect the Very Nice, Very Evil star to become a "fixture" of promotion in the New York area.
Additionally, f4wonline's Bryan Alvarez notes that a Danhausen and New York Knicks deal is being put together by TKO, with WWE cameras set to be at the Knicks' trophy parade, likely for a Danhausen/Knicks YouTube documentary. Alvarez also says WWE is trying to get several Knicks players to appear at Saturday Night's Main Event, with one player already confirmed for SNME.
Love that Danhausen.
