Does Jade Cargill STILL Have Backstage Heat In WWE? (WWE News)
Latest on how Jade Cargill is viewed behind the scenes by WWE management.
WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE top brass remain "happy" with Jade Cargill's progress despite stories circulating about backstage heat on her during WrestleMania 42 season. Indeed, Jade's road to a match with Rhea Ripley in Las Vegas was fraught with write-ups about tension behind the scenes and social media sniping.
That did lead to some heat behind the curtain, but things have thankfully blown over.
The company still views Cargill as a real star player and one of the bigger attractions in the women's division on SmackDown. Recently, Jade has tried to stamp her authority on the roster by enlisting Michin and B-FAB, but lost her Women's Title to Ripley at 'Mania. So, things have been rather up and down for the former AEW pet project.
WWE's creative team on Friday nights also haven't helped her by calling Fatal Influence up from NXT. Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid have earned strong reactions from live crowds since moving to SmackDown, and they seem like a much more dynamic act than Jade, Michin and FAB.
Obviously, things can change on that front. The writers restricted Influence to a backstage promo on last Friday's episode of TV, but had Cargill's 'Baddies' go after Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. There's a solid chance that Jade vs. Charlotte will be on a card in the future too - WWE has been building up to that for a long time.
So, to summarise, Cargill did ruffle some feathers backstage recently, but she's still in management's good books generally.
