It's funny how things turn out. Four years ago, injuries cut Finn Bálor's Universal Title reign short, and he was replaced by Kevin Owens. In 2020, injury f*cked with Karrion Kross' NXT Title win and Bálor has benefited from his misery. That could be a neat story beat whenever Kross is ready.

WWE shouldn't be in a rush to take the title off Finn - they can afford to wait.
Men like Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Velveteen Dream, Tommaso Ciampa and others can keep Bálor busy in the meantime. Then, whenever Karrion is healthy (which, admittedly, will be a while), he can get a second go-around with the belt.
