20. Snitch

Another seminal moment in Johnson's career as Hollywood collectively realised that they could strap virtually anything to him and he would make it work. Snitch wants, in parts, to be Breaking Bad. It wants, in parts, to be Narcos. It wants, constantly, to blow up cars. Only one one of those criteria does it even come remotely close to succeeding and, clue, beep beep boom.

And yet, the big lad delivers a central performance so good that the movie itself is genuinely a worthwhile use of your 2 hours. At the time it was called his greatest performance to date and despite what a flop it should have been it still remains one of his best personal outings.
