You'd think that if a filmmaker throws a lot at the wall, it wouldn't be a bad thing if everything managed to stick. Sadly for Richard Kelly (yes, Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly), it... uh... is because there is just too much going on to ever really, really draw you in.

There's a porn star developing her own reality television project, a police officer who holds the key to a vast conspiracy, and somewhere in it The Rock is a man called Boxer who is stricken with amnesia. There's something about a social, economic and environmental disaster on 4th of July weekend and, while it is good, it's almost too good to ever actually be good.
