Every Original WWE NXT Black & Gold Roster Member - Where Are They Now?
40. Raquel Diaz
What was she doing at the time?
Raquel Diaz won a battle of second generation stars on just the fifth edition of NXT, defeating the woman that ended up as the first female breakout star from the show. Paige was a short while away from becoming the inaugural NXT Women's Champion and making the jump to the main roster, but daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero Shaul was - for a time - touted to have a similar trajectory.
What is she doing now?
Right around the time Paige was debuting on Raw and defeating AJ Lee for the WWE Divas Title, Diaz was calling it a day with the market leader. Her last match came in December 2013, following an on-and-off developmental stint in NXT as well as its precursor FCW. She popped up briefly in Lucha Underground and AEW as a ring announcer, and after nearly a decade away from in-ring competition she surprised people with a two-night comeback in 2020. Going 50/50 for Generation Championship Wrestling, she defeated Renee Michelle after a loss to Queen Aminata.
Beyond that, she remains literally married into the industry via her union with TNA commentator Matt "Aiden English" Rehwoldt.
