What was he doing at the time?

Making towns down under. A product of the Monster Factory (the Adelaide-located school that was previously run by the late Col. Dervany, rather than Larry Sharpe's old academy in New Jersey), Damian Slater was a familiar face to anybody attending an independent wrestling show in Australia. He entered the Cruiserweight Classic in possession of Wrestle Rampage's Australian National Title in between the two mammoth title reigns of Jonah Rock, the future Bronson Reed of WWE acclaim.

What is he doing now?

Much of the same, really. In the space of 10 years, Damian has wrestled just 2 matches north of Oceania, as he jetted off to Malaysia in August 2025 and February 2026; he has otherwise been one of the only still-active Cruiserweight Classic competitors not to have found an ounce of international exposure.

When he's not doing the weekend warrior schtick, Slater can be found passing on his knowledge to the next generation of Aussie hopefuls, with clips of his training being shared on social media. Give them a watch if you want to become the next Grayson Waller or Bushwacker Luke.
