What was he doing at the time?

Doing the job in the tournament opener.

Bracketed opposite Gran Metalik, Alejandro Saez was allotted just 4 minutes to get himself over while knowing he was going to be staring up at the Full Sail University lights. At least his jaw-droppingly stiff Shooting Star Press from the ring apron stood out as one of the most impressive moments from the entire tourney. Such high-risk spots will have come naturally to the Chilean, given that he'd had training from PAC and Super Crazy, but especially because one of his self-proclaimed childhood heroes was WWE's resident Hell in a Cell jumper, Shane McMahon (!).

What is he doing now?

Nothing of note. Per his Cagematch profile, the real-life Manuel Alejandro Saez Palominos hasn't wrestled since 5 October 2024, but even then, he wasn't anybody worth looking up beyond 2016. Almost immediately after his Cruiserweight Classic participation, Saez embarked on his second tour with Japan's Pro Wrestling NOAH, which saw him muster up a paltry 6 points in that year's Global League before fading back into obscurity.
