Here's the first look at Dave Batista in Kickboxer Vengeance, with the official movie twitter account sharing "Meet Tong Po, @DaveBautista in #KickboxerVengeance." The film is set for a 2016 release and will also feature UFC legend Georges St Pierre. As a remake of the 1989 Kickboxer film, it is set to reboot the classic fighting franchise. Jean Claude Van Damme is back, this time in the role of Master Durand. Women's MMA legend Gina Carano is also set to feature. Batista is riding a wave of momentum from Guardians Of The Galaxy and the new James Bond film Spectre. He's received mostly positive reviews for his film work, meaning that any sort of WWE comeback is highly unlikely. Instead, expect to see him work on more action movies like this one. He's very much all action on camera, but he also brings screen presence and a memorable look to his roles. You can see that in the Kickboxer image, he very much looks like the a** kicker fans are used to seeing on the WWE screen. There's no doubt that movie goers to Kickboxer Vengeance are going to get to see him in a lot of fight scenes, showing the physical intensity which earned him 'The Animal' nickname in WWE. A further photo from Kickboxer shows him in full fight mode.
