Goldberg Shoots On WWE Legend Bret Hart
Bret Hart has plenty of harsh words for Bill. Well, now it's Goldberg's turn!
Goldberg has admitted that he's "pretty p*ssed off" to hear that Bret Hart still holds a grudge against him for what happened at WCW's Starrcade 1999 pay-per-view almost 23 years ago.
The occasional WWE comeback king told The Michael Kay Show that "it sucks" to know Bret thinks he booted him in the head and pretty much ended Hart's in-ring career deliberately - a stiff superkick levelled the 'Hitman' during the pay-per-view's main event.
Bill is particularly annoyed that "nobody believes it, especially the person who was negatively affected by it". At the same time, he credits himself for being able to "forgive people accusing me of something that’s not true".
In April, Bret called for WWE to induct longtime enhancement worker Barry Horowitz into the Hall Of Fame. Unable to resist, the legend then pitched that Vince McMahon removes Goldberg from the HOF to make space.
Goldberg says he's told Hart numerous times that the Starrcade botch was a mistake, but it always falls on deaf ears; "You can lead a horse to water and you can shove their face in the damn water, but you can’t make them suck it up their esophagus".
