With AEW WrestleDream 2025 taking place from St. Louis' Chaifetz Arena - the same venue as AEW Dynasty 2024 - on Saturday, the card is already looking fairly stacked, with more matches to be announced by the time this weekend gets here.
In the expected main event, it's Adam Page defending his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe, a man who, as Joe has pointed out several times, Hangman has never managed to beat. While that fact seems likely to change on Saturday, only a fool would ever completely rule out the Samoan Submission Machine.
For new AEW Women's Champion Kris Statlander, she faces a rematch against former champ Toni Storm, with Timeless Toni keen to test herself against Stat in a one-on-one match, following Statlander pinning Toni with a flash seatbelt pin in a four-way match at All Out last month.
Where WrestleDream's other title matches are concerned, as of this writing, the only other confirmed bouts are Kyle Fletcher defending the TNT Championship against Mark Briscoe, and the Protostar's Callis Family cohorots Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita are looking to take the AEW Tag Team Titles from the Brodido tandem of Brody King and Bandido.
There may not be any gold on the line, but Jon Moxley and Darby Allin will be looking to steal the show as they collide in an I Quit offering. Considering how violent previous Moxley and Darby battles have been, this one promises to up the ante even further off the back of the pair's coffin match at All Out. Given how heavily promoted this one has been on AEW TV, this could be a sneaky outside bet to nab the WrestleDream main event spot should Tony Khan decide against Page vs. Joe closing out the PPV, particularly with the Mox and Darby likely to feature some moments of shock and insanity.
Rounding out the AEW WrestleDream 2025 main card, the Hurt Syndicate's war with the Demand continues with a trios tornado match, the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express battle for a $500,000 prize, the hard-hitting duo of Jamie Hayter and Thekla go one-on-one, and AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has promised that she'll be making an appearance in some form or fashion.
