Taking place at Turin's Inalpi Arena on Sunday, WWE Clash in Italy is the first time the company has ever run a Premium Live Event from Italy, and the event certainly has an impressive line-up.
In the expected main event, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns rematches with his Backlash challenger Jacob Fatu, only this time it's Tribal Combat between these two cousins. This will be only the third-ever Tribal Combat bout, with Roman having previously picked up wins over Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa in the previous two. While the OTC will be looking to make it three-in-a-row at Clash in Italy, the Samoan Werewolf is once again gunning to win his first World Title in WWE.
Arguably just as big as that Tribal Combat war, Cody Rhodes defends the WWE Championship against Gunther in a match confirmed to open the Clash in Italy card, airing for free in the US on standard ESPN. It may not be his home country of Austria, but the Ring General could well find himself receiving a hero's welcome from the European crowd, with the big man having put the American Nightmare in his crosshairs and becoming a paid-up member of the SmackDown roster following WrestleMania 42.
In the other contest confirmed to air for free on ESPN, it's Jade Cargill looking to regain the WWE Women's Championship from Rhea Ripley. Mami dethroned Jade for that prize at 'Mania 42, and Cargill now has her sights on becoming a two-time Women's Champ, complete with having B-Fab and Michin at her side.
The final advertised title match at Clash in Italy will see Becky Lynch defending the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Raw newcomer Sol Ruca. As pointed out by Lynch, Sol has yet to score a clean victory since being called up from NXT last month, and if she rectifies that in Turin, Ruca will be walking out with her first slice of main roster gold.
Rounding out the Clash in Italy card, there's a huge rematch between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. While it appeared as if Lesnar retired at WrestleMania 42 following his loss to Oba, the Beast made a shock appearance to lay out Femi with four F-5s to put Lesnar vs. Femi II in motion.
