Impact Wrestling Stars To Appear In NJPW?
Are The Good Brothers heading back to the place that made them relevant?
On last night's Before The Impact, Impact Wrestling's new secondary show, it was revealed that key performers from the Impact roster will reportedly be going overseas to attend to some business.
The news came by way of George Iceman as part of his Iceman Intel skit, where he dropped the announcement. While it's worth noting that this could be nothing more than a way to grab media headlines, it wouldn't be so surprising.
One would assume that this means Impact performers heading over to New Japan Pro Wrestling in the near future. With FinJuice, former IWGP Tag Team Champions, recently capturing the Impact World Tag Team Championships from The Good Brothers, it only makes sense. The working relationship between the two promotions works both ways.
Of course, this wouldn't be the first time Impact stars have appeared on New Japan events. Team 3D and The Motor City Machine Guns are former IWGP Tag Team and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, respectively, while the likes of Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam appeared at the 2011 Wrestle Kingdom while under Impact contract.
WhatCulture recently detailed 10 dream matches between Impact and New Japan matches we need to see. Perhaps we'll see one or two of those in the not too distant future.
